🕊️ The Unity of the Bharunda Bird 🕊️

Long ago, near the banks of a wide and peaceful river, there lived a strange and rare bird known as the Bharunda. This bird was very unusual because it had two heads but only one body. Both heads could think, speak, and see, but they shared the same stomach.

At first glance the bird looked strong and powerful. However, living with two minds in one body was not always easy. The two heads often argued with each other. Each head believed it was smarter and more important than the other.

One sunny morning, the Bharunda bird was flying along the riverbank searching for food. The cool wind blew gently across the water, and the forest around the river was full of life.

Suddenly, one of the heads spotted a bright golden fruit floating near the shore. The bird quickly flew down and picked up the fruit.

“This fruit looks delicious!” said the first head happily. “I will eat it.”

Without waiting, the first head quickly swallowed the fruit. The sweet taste spread through the bird’s body, and the head felt very satisfied.

The second head became angry. “Why did you eat it alone?” he shouted. “We share the same body. You should have allowed me to taste it too.”

The first head replied proudly, “Why should I share it? The fruit came near my side, and I found it first. Besides, even if I eat it, the food goes into the same stomach. You will still get its benefit.”

But the second head was not convinced. He felt insulted and ignored. From that moment, jealousy and anger began growing inside him.

A few days later, while wandering through the forest, the second head noticed a strange fruit lying on the ground. The fruit looked colorful but had a bitter smell.

The first head immediately warned, “Do not eat that fruit. It might be poisonous.”

The second head remembered the earlier insult and replied angrily, “You did not share the sweet fruit with me. Now I will eat this fruit, whether you like it or not.”

The first head became frightened. “If you eat that fruit, the poison will harm both of us. We share the same body and stomach.”

But anger had already blinded the second head. Without listening to the warning, he swallowed the poisonous fruit.

Within a short time, the poison began spreading through the bird’s body. Both heads started feeling weak and dizzy.

The first head said sadly, “Your anger has destroyed us both.”

Soon the Bharunda bird collapsed near the riverbank. Because the two heads could not work together, they had brought harm to themselves.

The forest animals who saw this tragic event later told the story to their young ones. They explained how selfishness and jealousy can destroy even the strongest beings.

If the two heads had respected each other and shared their food, they could have lived happily for many years. But their lack of unity led to their downfall.

Thus the story of the Bharunda bird became a lesson for everyone in the forest about the importance of cooperation and harmony.
