The End of the Demon

Long ago, near a peaceful village surrounded by thick forests and green fields, people lived happily and worked hard every day. Farmers cultivated crops, children played in the open fields, and travelers often passed through the village on their journeys.

But the happiness of the villagers did not last forever. Deep inside the forest lived a terrible demon. He was huge, powerful, and very cruel. At night he would come out of the forest and frighten the villagers. Sometimes he destroyed crops, sometimes he stole animals, and sometimes he even threatened people.

The villagers were terrified. As soon as the sun set, everyone closed their doors and stayed inside their homes. No one dared to go near the forest after dark.

One day the village elders gathered in the center of the village to discuss the problem. “If we do nothing,” said one elder, “the demon will continue troubling us forever.”

Another elder sighed and said, “But the demon is very powerful. No ordinary person can defeat him.”

Just then a brave young man named Arin stepped forward. He was known for his courage and intelligence. Arin said, “If we work together and think wisely, we can defeat the demon.”

The villagers looked at him with hope but also with fear. “How can we defeat such a monster?” they asked.

Arin thought carefully and made a clever plan. He knew that fighting the demon with strength alone would be very difficult. Instead, he decided to use intelligence.

That evening he went into the forest carrying a large mirror and some strong ropes. The forest was dark and silent. Strange sounds came from the trees, but Arin remained brave and continued walking deeper into the forest.

Soon he reached the cave where the demon lived. The demon came out with a loud roar. His eyes glowed like fire, and his voice echoed through the forest.

“Who dares enter my forest?” the demon growled angrily.

Arin pretended to be calm and said, “I have come to warn you. Another demon stronger than you has arrived and wants to challenge you.”

The demon became furious. “No one can defeat me!” he shouted.

Arin placed the large mirror in front of the cave and said, “If you do not believe me, look inside this cave. You will see the other demon waiting.”

The foolish demon looked into the mirror. Seeing his own reflection, he believed it was another demon staring back at him.

He became extremely angry and rushed forward to attack the reflection.

But as he jumped forward, Arin quickly pulled the ropes he had hidden earlier. The demon stumbled and fell into a deep pit that Arin had secretly prepared near the cave.

The demon tried to climb out, but the pit was too deep and the walls were too steep. No matter how hard he tried, he could not escape.

Soon the villagers arrived with torches and strong wooden bars. Together they sealed the pit and made sure the demon could never escape again.

The villagers cheered with joy. After many years of fear, they were finally free from the demon’s terror. They thanked Arin for his bravery and clever thinking.

Peace returned to the village. Farmers worked happily in their fields again, children played freely, and travelers once again passed safely through the area.

Arin became a hero in the village, but he always remained humble. He reminded everyone that intelligence and courage together can solve even the most difficult problems.

From that day on, the story of the demon’s defeat was told to every child in the village as a lesson about bravery and wisdom.

Moral of the Story: Intelligence and courage are stronger than brute strength.
