🦌 The Deer Trapped in the Net 🪤

Long ago, in a beautiful forest filled with tall trees and green grass, many animals lived together peacefully. Among them was a graceful deer named Chitra. Chitra was known throughout the forest for her speed, beauty, and gentle nature.

Chitra had three close friends who cared deeply about her. One was a clever crow named Kalu, who always watched the forest from the treetops. Another was a wise mouse named Hirak, whose sharp teeth could cut through even the strongest ropes. The third was a slow but thoughtful turtle named Mandu who lived in a nearby pond.

Every day, the four friends met near a large banyan tree and talked about their adventures. They shared food, stories, and advice. Their friendship was strong because they trusted and supported one another.

One morning, Chitra wandered far into a grassy field outside the forest. The grass looked fresh and delicious. Without thinking much about danger, she began eating happily.

However, hidden beneath the grass was a hunter’s net. The hunter had carefully placed it there to trap animals.

Suddenly, the net tightened around the deer’s legs. Chitra tried to run, but the ropes wrapped around her body. The more she struggled, the tighter the net became.

Realizing she was trapped, Chitra became frightened. She knew the hunter might return soon.

Just then, the crow Kalu happened to be flying overhead. From the sky he noticed his friend struggling in the field.

He quickly flew down and landed on a nearby branch.

“Chitra! What happened?” the crow asked.

“I have been trapped in a hunter’s net,” the deer replied anxiously. “Please call our friend Hirak the mouse. Only he can cut these ropes.”

Without wasting a moment, the crow flew swiftly to the banyan tree where the mouse lived. He explained the situation.

Hirak immediately climbed onto the crow’s back, and together they rushed back to the trapped deer.

When the mouse saw the net, he quickly began gnawing the ropes with his sharp teeth. He worked carefully and steadily.

Within a short time, several ropes snapped. Slowly the net loosened.

Finally, the last rope broke, and Chitra was free.

The deer felt enormous relief and thanked her friend warmly.

Just then, the turtle Mandu slowly arrived at the field. Although he moved slowly, he had come because he cared deeply for his friend.

The friends were happy to see each other again. But their happiness did not last long.

Soon the hunter returned to check his trap.

When he saw the broken net, he became very angry. But then he noticed the slow turtle nearby.

“Ah! At least I will not return empty-handed,” the hunter said. He quickly picked up the turtle and tied him in a small sack.

The friends watched in shock as the hunter walked away carrying Mandu.

Chitra quickly came up with a plan.

She ran ahead of the hunter and lay down on the forest path, pretending to be injured. The crow sat beside her as if pecking at the body.

When the hunter saw the deer lying helplessly on the path, he became excited.

“A deer is far more valuable than a turtle!” he thought.

He dropped the sack containing the turtle and rushed toward the deer.

At that moment, the mouse quickly ran to the sack and began chewing the ropes again.

Within seconds, the turtle was free.

Just as the hunter approached the deer, Chitra suddenly jumped up and ran swiftly into the forest.

The crow flew away, the mouse hid in the grass, and the turtle slipped safely into the pond.

The hunter stood there in confusion. In just a few moments, he had lost both the deer and the turtle.

Meanwhile, the four friends reunited under the banyan tree. They were grateful that their friendship and teamwork had saved them from danger.

From that day forward, they remained careful and continued supporting each other through every challenge.
