🐟 The Story of the Three Fish 🐟

Long ago, in a quiet forest, there was a large and beautiful pond filled with clear water. The pond was surrounded by green grass, tall trees, and colorful flowers. Many creatures lived there, including frogs, turtles, birds, and many kinds of fish.

Among all the fish in the pond, three fish were especially known for their intelligence. Although they lived in the same water, their thinking and behavior were very different from each other.

The first fish was named Prudent. She was wise and always thought carefully about the future. She believed that planning ahead could prevent many dangers.

The second fish was named Clever. He was intelligent and quick-thinking. He believed that problems could always be solved when the time came.

The third fish was named Careless. Unlike the others, he rarely worried about anything. He believed that whatever happened would happen, and there was no need to think too much about the future.

For many years, the three fish lived peacefully in the pond. They swam together, searched for food, and enjoyed the calm life of the water.

One evening, as the sun was setting and the sky turned golden, two fishermen passed near the pond. They looked at the water and noticed many fish swimming inside.

One fisherman said, “Look at this pond! It seems to be full of fish.”

The other replied, “Yes, tomorrow morning we should return here with our nets. We will surely catch plenty of fish.”

After saying this, the fishermen left.

Unfortunately, the three fish had heard the entire conversation.

Prudent immediately became worried. She swam toward her friends and said, “Did you hear what the fishermen said? They will return tomorrow with nets. We must leave this pond tonight and move to another water source before it is too late.”

Clever thought for a moment and replied, “You may be right, but perhaps we should not panic. The fishermen may not come back tomorrow. And even if they do, we can find a way to escape.”

Careless laughed loudly.

“Why are you both so worried?” he said. “This pond has been our home for years. Nothing bad has ever happened here. I will not leave my home because of something that might happen.”

Prudent understood that arguing would not change Careless’s mind.

So she decided to act immediately.

That very night, while the moon shone above the forest, Prudent quietly swam through a small channel that connected the pond to a nearby river. She safely reached the river and found a new home.

Meanwhile, Clever and Careless stayed in the pond.

The next morning, just as the fishermen had promised, they returned with large fishing nets.

They threw their nets into the pond and slowly began pulling them through the water.

Panic spread among the fish as they realized the danger was real.

Clever quickly understood that he needed to act fast. When the net surrounded him, he pretended to be dead. He turned his body sideways and floated without moving.

When the fishermen pulled up the net, they saw Clever floating lifelessly among the other fish.

One fisherman said, “This one looks dead already.”

“Throw it aside,” said the other. “It’s useless.”

They tossed Clever back into the water near the edge of the pond. The moment he touched the water, he quickly swam away and escaped safely.

However, Careless had not prepared any plan.

He continued swimming normally until the net completely surrounded him.

When he realized what was happening, it was already too late.

The fishermen pulled the net out of the pond, and Careless was trapped along with many other fish.

Unlike his friends, he could not escape.

Meanwhile, far away in the river, Prudent lived safely and peacefully.

Clever eventually left the dangerous pond and joined other fish in a safer place.

The story of the three fish soon became a lesson for many creatures in the forest.

Some remembered the wisdom of planning ahead like Prudent. Others admired Clever’s quick thinking in times of danger.

But everyone agreed that Careless’s fate showed the danger of ignoring warnings and refusing to act when danger approaches.

🌟 Moral of the Story:

Wise people prepare for danger before it arrives. Those who think quickly may still escape trouble, but those who ignore warnings often suffer the consequences.
